WHAT THE ROLE DELIVERS 

Responsible for driving sales growth in the Americas Region through direct customer engagement, new business acquisition, strategic market development, and meticulous sales planning. As an individual contributor, this role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining customer relationships, understanding market dynamics, and employing strategic sales planning to effectively sell Methacrylate Resins products. The Business Manager will leverage industry knowledge to propose tailored solutions, maximizing sales potential in the region.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Channel Management & Sales Growth

  • Oversee and support distribution partners to drive sales and profitability.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of distribution opportunities.
  • Lead joint customer visits and sales calls to strengthen relationships and close deals.
  • Identify and engage strategic accounts to expand market presence.

 

Strategy & Planning

  • Implement and execute Roehm’s North America Distribution Strategy.
  • Define account strategies and tactical plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead forecasting and pricing activities, including managing tools like price lists.

 

Training & Enablement

  • Provide product training to distribution partners to ensure effective representation and sales.
  • Participate in distribution sales meetings to maintain alignment and share insights.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work across multicultural, matrixed teams to execute strategies and resolve challenges.
  • Ensure brand integrity and support the rollout of regional and global initiatives.

 

Reporting & Insights

  • Prepare monthly highlight reports, KPIs, and market updates.
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed of key developments and customer feedback.

 

 

Salary range $115,100 – $172,700 per year.  The posted salary range reflects the national average for this role. Final compensation may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications.  This role is eligible for an annual performance bonus in addition to base salary.

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years in sales within the plastics industry, ideally with transparent materials (e.g., acrylic, polycarbonate).
  • Experience working with distributors and direct customers.
  • Proven success in matrixed, multicultural environments.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel/Pivot Tables); CRM and SAP experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, including international trips.
