Job Description: 

WHAT THE ROLE DELIVERS 

In this hands-on Process Operator role, you will play a critical part in keeping manufacturing operations running safely, efficiently, and at high quality. You will directly contribute to consistent product output by monitoring processes, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining equipment performance. Your work will help drive a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement across the plant. This role delivers reliable production, strong operational discipline, and measurable improvements in process performance.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Monitor, inspect, and adjust process equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations and product quality
  • Operate blending, reaction, extrusion, and additive processes in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Perform routine sampling and quality checks on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve process upsets or quality issues in collaboration with engineering
  • Communicate equipment or process issues requiring maintenance to prevent downtime
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment aligned with safety and environmental standards
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity
  • Operate industrial vehicles and perform minor maintenance and material handling tasks as needed

 

This position is part of a bargaining unit.  Compensation is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement; the starting rate for this role is $33.33 per hour.

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING  

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; chemical manufacturing experience or related hands-on industrial experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes
  • Strong attention to detail with solid problem-solving and basic math skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement practices
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required
  • Physical capability to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in an active plant environment
