WHAT THE ROLE DELIVERS
- Perform in process and final lot testing of plant product and compare against testing plans and specifications
- Evaluate & test incoming raw materials against specifications
- Maintain inspection, measuring and test equipment and perform verifications
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Follow safety and environmental standards of the Company.
- Maintain a clean lab that promotes safe, accurate, and efficient completion of quality tasks.
- Assure material is of acceptable quality by performing necessary lab tests/ inspections.
- Review analytical results to determine they are meaningful, accurate and completed in accordance with the Control Plan.
- Advise Production staff when quality does not meet specifications or is trending in an undesirable direction.
- Maintain the integrity of all quality testing by ensuring cleanliness and utilizing appropriate standards.
- Operating knowledge of all lab equipment including computer equipment & software.
- Perform special tests & inspections as directed.
- Inspect incoming material as described by procedure.
- Write legibly on critical inspection and testing records.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Understanding of weights and measures
WHAT WE ARE SEEKING
- Hazardous Exposures: hazardous materials, loud noise, extreme heat or cold
- Physical Lifting Requirements and frequency: medium (up to 50 pounds), heavy (over 50 pounds)
- Other Physical Requirements and frequency: regular (up to 3 hrs/day), frequent (over 3 hrs/day)
- Climbing / Climbing Stairs
- Walking
- Standing 3-4 hours
- Stooping/Kneeling
- Pulling/Pushing
- Ability to meet the criteria of plant safety policies/procedures
